SONshine Preschool is an interdenominational Christian preschool designed to offer the Oskaloosa community a quality pre-kindergarten program.  SONshine Preschool not only teaches school readiness skills, but also proclaims the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  

SONshine Preschool offers:

• We assist parents in nurturing their children by offering a well-rounded program of age-appropriate activities in a Christian setting that will develop a love of learning and will nurture their hearts towards Christ

• Class options are Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, 8am-2pm

• Strong kindergarten readiness program using the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum as a framework

• Christian teachings,  perspective and teachers      

• School setting at Oskaloosa Christian School

• Hot lunch with Oskaloosa Christian School Food Service     

• Our faith-based program follows the Iowa Early Learning Standards for preschools set up by the Department of Education and meets the verification standards of the Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards.

SONshine is tuition-free  if your child is 4 years old by September 15 of the enrolled school year.  SONshine is partially  funded through the Iowa State Wide Voluntary Preschool Program as well as by church donations.
