Hours: 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. SONshine Preschool offers two class sessions per week: Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday. Each session offers 12 hours of instruction time per week. Typical classroom schedule
8:00 AM: Classroom opens: Free Choice Play and activities teachers set out
 8:45-9:00AM: Opening Group Time: Prayer, songs, weather and calendar 9:00 -9:20AM: Small Group Activity: Fine motor skills and learning activities 9:20 -9:50AM: Large Motor Skills Outdoors or in the gym 9:50AM: Wash Hands; Snack - When individuals finish, look at books independently 10:10AM: Literacy Time/Story Time - Specific Books & Literacy Skills addressed with both individual and group reading 10:30 -11:30AM: Craft time in two groups – one group chooses from selected activities while the other group participates in craft time for specific development in direction skills, cutting skills, art, and fine motor skills. They change activities midway through the time frame. 11:30AM: Clean up and transition to Small Group Activities/Games 12:10PM: Wash hands – Prepare for Lunch 12:20 PM: Lunch and time for personal needs 1:00-1:30PM: Pack bags and Quiet Time 1:30-1:45PM: Show and Tell by Leader; Review of the day 1:45-1:55PM: Bible Story, songs and closing 2:00 PM Dismissal |
